Design/Build Group, Inc. is a South Norwalk, Connecticut based residential general contracting firm. We specialize in home improvement projects ranging from entire house remodeling to the replacement of just one door. Our projects include the most typical genre of home improvement, such as bathrooms and kitchens, to the most unique and specific, like historic restorations and hand-made cabinetry. The level and scope of service we offer our clients is above and beyond the capabilities of most general contractors, while our pricing is very competitive to the market. Our approach with our clients begins with a total commitment to service and quality. While other contractors return the phone calls of clients days and sometimes weeks later, with rare exception, we return all client calls within 24 hours, most often the same day. As a matter of policy, we deal with issues and concerns accurately and quickly, resolving small problems before they become major obstacles. We offer clients better ideas and better implementation.

What we offer homeowners is a complete general contracting service. This includes the designing of your project, the drawing of permit ready and complete architectural plans, when needed. We often handle all aspects of permit work, including surveys, health department requirements (new septic system codes are now in place in Connecticut), zoning approval and variances. Our experience in this area reaches to most towns and communities in Fairfield County. Many homeowners come to us with little more than their ideas. Whether it be a new kitchen, bathroom, addition or other home improvement project, we offer expert management and execution. And we only perform residential work, unlike many contractors who put their residential clients at the bottom of the list. Typically we are on site at least once a day when a project is active and of course, we are available to clients anytime to answer questions and resolve problems, this often includes evenings and weekends. We also often work in conjunction with clients’ architects and designers.

We offer total reliability and quality, meeting the needs of residential architects. We can receive plan changes and specifications by e-mail, using most major drawing software, including the latest versions of AutoCAD. On larger projects, we set up job-site offices with telephones and facsimile machines, simplifying communications and speeding progress. We are also experienced in advising architects on cost issues and savings measures, during both the planning stages and execution of projects, often critical in meeting the budgetary requirements of their clients
